OFFICIAL OPENING : FREE EVENT

09.55 am    The Mayor and President of Rotary to welcomed all to Medieval Fayre.  BBC Radio Glos’shire, crew at The Cross .
                      Archers, Plantagenet Medieval Society Knights and Mandy Goddings Medieval dancers in attendance.

10.00 am   OFFICIAL OPENING: at The Cross, by The Mayor/Rotary President  (Photo opport.)

10.05 am    Procession: Mayoral Party/ Robert Hall (Rotary President)/Plantagenet Medieval Society Knights, Ladies,
                      children and others, …walk in procession down Westgate Street and into Cathedral grounds  (Photo opp.)

The Wolfpack  Circa 1500 - Candle making, dyeing, warrior clothing, weapons      

Black Maunch Medieval Society Circa 1461 - Sir John’s Servant  - “spouter of all knowledge”

Ye Amazing Bagshot - Medieval Magican Dave Moylan

Alchemy - Medieval Dragons (hand puppets) storytelling & walkabout
      

10.30 am             Plantagenet Medieval Society:  Archery Display

11.00 am             Plantagenet Medieval Society:  Have-A-Go-Archery

 

12.00 noon          Tug-of-War teams  in Cathedral Grounds   (meet at Cathedral Gates 12.00 noon)

                                                Kings Walk ‘Massive’
                                                The Citizen Hunks
                                                The Westgate Wild Guys 

 

12.00 noon          Plantagenet Medieval Society:  Medieval Music/Archers

1.00 pm               Plantagenet Medieval Society:  Squire Training

 1.45 pm            Plantagenet Medieval Society:  Ladies Dancing

  2.30 pm            Plantagenet Medieval Society:  Full-contact combat Tournament on College Green

3.15 pm            Plantagenet Medieval Society: Show and tell session College Green - possibly     more squire training if required.

4.00 pm            End of Medieval Fayre

6.45 pm            Commencement of merriment  -  The Medieval Banquet in The Chapter House

Can you beat last year’s champions  KINGS WALK ‘MASSIVE’  ?

Tug of War competition    Last year’s champions - Kings Walk ‘Massive’ - challenge any other team that wishes to register a tug of war team  (competition                                                 commences 12.00 noon) - prizes to be confirmed
